Arapapisti Canyon

  /  Arapapisti Canyon

This unique canyon was formed by thousands of years of erosion of Akcay which feeds Kemer Dam within Denizli, Mugla and Aydin borders. It is 385 m high and 6 km long. The deepest point of the water reaches 60 meters in spring. In this way, you can go to every shore and corner in the canyon.

The most important feature of the canyon is the rock tombs dating back 2500 years, which were understood to have been built by the Persians. Hidden monasteries from the Roman-Byzantine period, the Kor Teke Castle with its historical three towers and caves are among the historical riches of the canyon.

The canyon is also home to some heron bird species. It is not possible to encounter a few of these birds while sailing to the canyon.

When you climb up to the top of the view hill, the path of wonderful nature will come to your soul and your eyes as a medicine where the green, blue, turquoise mixture of green, blue and turquoise colors come across.
