Cayyuzu Martyrs Cemetery in the Umurlu Neighborhood of Aydin, is the oldest martyrdom in the region. Cayyuzu Cemetery was the first monument and martyrdom of the War of Independence which is with Yoruk Ali Efe’s request commissioned by Lieutenant Zekai Bey and other officers of the National Aydin Regiment. In the monument to this martyrdom, which is the eternal rest of the soldiers, soldiers and officers who were martyred during the battles on the western front “ Those who died for the homeland lay here. National Aydin Regiment-March 1336 ”is written.
