The first bullet cemetery and memorial was built on 21.06.1919.in Incirliova district of Aydin. This is written on the memorial:

 “ Do not forget the heros who shot the first bullet to those who attacked in our homeland; Those heros who read this ballad sacrified their lives: Real Turks do not bow to their enemies and without freedom Turks do not need any country ”.

After Bakirkoylu Lieutenant Kadri Bey caused a great loss to the Greek forces in Erbey on the night of 20-21 June 1919, the Greeks martyred 73 unarmed citizens to avenge this attack.
