Fatma Suat Orhon Museum And Art House

/  Fatma Suat Orhon Museum And Art House

If you are interested in urban culture and local architecture, this place is for you… With the contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Soke Municipality, the venue is an elegant example of the old Soke houses on Aydin Street, opposite Ataturk Park.

It was built in the early 1900s. Provided as a result of extensive studies conducted in rural neighborhoods, especially in the district center, the historical objects were exhibited and turned into a visit address of Soke’s city memory.

On the ground floor of the museum and art house there is a toy exhibition which is worth to see. The museum also includes toys that were presented to the museum by Erkan Atakli, known as “Oyuncakci Dede”. The exhibition consists of two rooms, as well as handmade toys, objects through donations and traditional Turkish shadow play art depictions.
