Oleatrium means “olive courtyard” which was formed by combining the words of olea (olive) and atrium (courtyard) in Latin. Oleatrium was opened to visitors within the Mill Farm in 2001 which was established in order to reflect the deep-rooted history of olive in our region and to carry this great cultural accumulation to future generations.
It was built in 2012 in the appearance of a historical olive oil factory with a special museum status.
In the museum which has a total of 11 halls, olive oil production is exhibited chronologically from the antique period to the present day.
Spread over an area of approximately 3,000 square meters, techniques developed in olive oil production, usage areas of olive oil, various animations and ethnographic and technological works are exhibited in a narrative style.
